I can't wait to snuggle that bundle of joy again! She may be a pup, but she is an old soul:)
  • Andrea · 1 year ago
Aaaawwww, Lola is so cute! She looks so happy and healthy and well.
It's amazing the way a dog knows you saved her/him and thanks you with everything she/he does, isn't it? My best friend's dog(a Chihuahua)is also named Lola. Mine's(also a Chihuahua and daughter of Lola) is named Frida, haha.
I've been meaning to go to the shelter here but I can't really have another dog right now. Soon, though.
I am so happy to know that one more dog has been saved.
I wish you the best of lucks to the three of you.

    Take care,

    xoxo

Congrats on the new pooch. It took me 17 years of marriage and Canser to convince my husband to let our family get a dog. I pulled out the censer card and she was my beautiful present. A giant Schnauzer... ever seen one? google them.

wishing you love and wet kisses

I am SO happy for you guys!! What a special baby to bring into your home and make part of your family. And I am a bit partial to the name Lola of course as it's one of my aka's ;)

I'm really happy for you and sending you loads of love and hugs and puppy dog kisses.

Check out the show "It's me or the dog" with Victoria Stillwell, it's on a couple channels, FANTASTIC. You won't miss Cesar, I promise ;) I think Lola will take to her really well too, my pooches have. She uses only positive reinforcement training and it's absolutely incredible the changes she can achieve in some really rowdy mutts. Plus she has a lovely accent that's nice to listen to ;)

love you, miss you, hugging you from afar and my poochies are wagging tails wishing Lola welcome to the CSL family. xoxoxo

Congratulations Kris! She is adorable! My mom and I got a dog back in March and she is such a godsend! I actually live in an apartment that is not allowed pets, but I have such a fantastic landlord that I am allowed to bring Sadie down here for visits and on bad days with treatment she is the perfect medicine. I was sorry to hear about Crystal. After I had lost my 2 kitties after 20 years of them being around, I did not think that I would ever love another animal. Lola is a lucky little gal to have gotten to go home with you!

Good for you guys. I'm an adoption counselor at our rescue league and its hard to predict that "love factor" but when you find it, it's a winner. She is adorable. to learn more about pitbulls, check out

  • Linda Colon · 1 year ago
I am loving her!!!! Her Crazy Sexy Auntie Linda can make her a big warm comfortable bed just like the ones I make for all the rescues we place! Two awfully intelligant breeds in one, remember, you're going to have to out think this one and keep two or three steps ahead of her every move. Oh, let her know I don't care for Ceasar either....borrrrrrrrrrrrrinnnnnngggggggggg!!!!! Let her watch the English woman whose name escapes me at the moment, she's incredible and tells it like it is. I'm so excited for all three of you! How is Brian handling being a warm fuzzy dad? LOL!

    Dear Kris and Brian!
Congradulations on Lola, she is beautiful and loving! I know she will bring you great joy into your hearts. My Mom is still trying to make heads and tails of her new Basset hound, Hannah. Hannah appears to not be more than a puppy, and can jump anything she wants to!
Many happy days to Lola, she has a great family to live with.
    Peace and hugs,
    Laurie

Oh I'd rather talk about puppy love any day of the week! Squishy jelly bellies! And there is nothing more healing than the smell of PUPPY BREATH! We need to find a way to make that into an "essential oil"! Such a sweetie! Congratualations to you mom and pop...my heart is singing for joy looking at the pictures of you with your new baby and the smiles on your faces...it is a time capsule that will stay with me for a long time...i really love you guys..Thanks for sharing this preciousness with us all...Give L-O-L-A, singing Clapton in my mind, a loving hug and kiss tonight from Auntie Bren xoxo **~** Bren

    WooHoo!!!
That's frickin' awesome Kris!! Congrats you two! As a fellow dog owner, of 3 huskies, welcome to dogful bliss! That is so wild what Lola does to Crystal's grave?! Maybe Crystal is givin' messing with her and that is the only way Lola can 'give it back'?! My dog that died last year still seems to have 'dibs' on that corner of the bed he used to sleep on... the other dogs won't lay there? Have fun!!

Congratulations on the new arrival. I am soooo thankful that God made dogs! I don't know what I'd do without my little buddy. I'm so excited for you and your family. Oh what fun lies ahead for you all. And I loved all the pics. Keep em coming!
  • janinez · 1 year ago
I have a leopard dog/pitbull mix, and he is the best, most gentle dog I have ever known! People tend to be afraid of him, because he has a bit of the scary pitbull look going on. But he is a total snuggle bug and extremely smart and well-behaved... I'm sure your Lola will turn out to be just as wonderful!

Right on time, in Today's Washington Post.

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/ar...

    Heal! The Power of Pets
The stars are 13 dogs, two cats, a guinea pig named LilyPigLips and a small group of breast cancer survivors.

The women have gathered for a calendar photo shoot to raise money for others with cancer and provide wigs, transportation and some assistance with the bills. The organization behind the event is Critters for the Cure -- and because its members recognize the therapeutic value of pets, the charity also offers help with such things as vet bills and dog-walking.

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/photo/gall...

In the photo gallery, click on a month to see that woman's story, with photos by Carol Guzy. Guzy has won a Pulitzer and has covered the Michael Vick dogs and the puppy mill bust in Tennessee this year.

She is spirited and fierce and won't be stopped... makes me think of you and all the warriors here. I am so glad you let another fur kid into your life. Getting my pooch was one of the most healing things I did for myself, and not just for me being sick - but for my own day to day happiness - there's no way I'm not laughing my ass of at least once a day because of him.

    Run, Lola, Run!

YAY!! A puppy! Congrats, Mama Kris and Papa Brian! I'm so happy for you. My two boys, Griffin and Murphy are the loves of my life (sorry to my hubby). There is nothing like the companionship of our fur-babies.
I love Cesar Milan. I used to watch his show all the time and I even read his book. It's clear that he deeply loves dogs, but I no longer agree with the techniques he uses. It has become quite controversial. Even Oprah has gone another way- the way of positive reinforcement. For me, the switch was akin to going from SAD eating to the crazy sexy lifestyle. Once you've made the change, you can't imagine going back. Ever heard of clicker training? Check out trainer Jeff Millman's website: http://www.watchandtrain.com/index.aspx . You can watch some of his training videos online. The clicker thing is so cool and FUN for the pooches. We were lucky enough to work with Jeff when we were in Chicago last summer. He worked miracles with our (sometimes aggressive) Murphy.
Anyhoo- I'm wagging my tail with joy for your new baby!
    Much love, Sandra

Congratulations Kris and Brian on your beautiful adopted cutie pie! Wow, is she gorgeous. Speaking from first hand experience with our "first borns," Ace and Roxie, rescue dogs are THE BEST and they will keep you real and outside and active like nobody's bizness! Nothing like picking up poop first thing in the morning to keep things in perspective. That Lola is one lucky kid. Love, Gina, Russ, Mia, Ace and Roxie
