http://www.flickr.com/photos/puptown/sets/72157... Believe it or not the all volunteer dog park in my chicago neighborhood sponsored this wonderful event. Chloe is the dog in police blue!

It's amazing the way a dog knows you saved her/him and thanks you with everything she/he does, isn't it? My best friend's dog(a Chihuahua)is also named Lola. Mine's(also a Chihuahua and daughter of Lola) is named Frida, haha.
I've been meaning to go to the shelter here but I can't really have another dog right now. Soon, though.
I am so happy to know that one more dog has been saved.
I wish you the best of lucks to the three of you.
Take care,
xoxo

p.s. The Dog Whisperer is one of the best shows EVER. Cesar Millan is a genius.

Looks like a hoot of fun too :) Enjoy
I'm really happy for you and sending you loads of love and hugs and puppy dog kisses.
Check out the show "It's me or the dog" with Victoria Stillwell, it's on a couple channels, FANTASTIC. You won't miss Cesar, I promise ;) I think Lola will take to her really well too, my pooches have. She uses only positive reinforcement training and it's absolutely incredible the changes she can achieve in some really rowdy mutts. Plus she has a lovely accent that's nice to listen to ;)
love you, miss you, hugging you from afar and my poochies are wagging tails wishing Lola welcome to the CSL family. xoxoxo

Congratulations on the arrival of Lola Rose. I love the picture of her chasing the rake, her coloring and markings blend in perfectly with the leaves.
Have fun with her...and much happiness.

love you

We're atually in the process of finding one to foster.
I don't know anything about leapord dogs, but the pit part is going to be super awesome!
Congradulations on Lola, she is beautiful and loving! I know she will bring you great joy into your hearts. My Mom is still trying to make heads and tails of her new Basset hound, Hannah. Hannah appears to not be more than a puppy, and can jump anything she wants to!
Many happy days to Lola, she has a great family to live with.
Peace and hugs,
Laurie
That's frickin' awesome Kris!! Congrats you two! As a fellow dog owner, of 3 huskies, welcome to dogful bliss! That is so wild what Lola does to Crystal's grave?! Maybe Crystal is givin' messing with her and that is the only way Lola can 'give it back'?! My dog that died last year still seems to have 'dibs' on that corner of the bed he used to sleep on... the other dogs won't lay there? Have fun!!
Congratulations on your new arrival! She is beautiful! Looks like you are having a blast together with the rake and the leaves! I am so happy for you & Lola Rose too! xoxoxo

Heal! The Power of Pets
The stars are 13 dogs, two cats, a guinea pig named LilyPigLips and a small group of breast cancer survivors.
The women have gathered for a calendar photo shoot to raise money for others with cancer and provide wigs, transportation and some assistance with the bills. The organization behind the event is Critters for the Cure -- and because its members recognize the therapeutic value of pets, the charity also offers help with such things as vet bills and dog-walking.

In the photo gallery, click on a month to see that woman's story, with photos by Carol Guzy. Guzy has won a Pulitzer and has covered the Michael Vick dogs and the puppy mill bust in Tennessee this year.

Run, Lola, Run!
I love Cesar Milan. I used to watch his show all the time and I even read his book. It's clear that he deeply loves dogs, but I no longer agree with the techniques he uses. It has become quite controversial. Even Oprah has gone another way- the way of positive reinforcement. For me, the switch was akin to going from SAD eating to the crazy sexy lifestyle. Once you've made the change, you can't imagine going back. Ever heard of clicker training? Check out trainer Jeff Millman's website: http://www.watchandtrain.com/index.aspx . You can watch some of his training videos online. The clicker thing is so cool and FUN for the pooches. We were lucky enough to work with Jeff when we were in Chicago last summer. He worked miracles with our (sometimes aggressive) Murphy.
Anyhoo- I'm wagging my tail with joy for your new baby!
Much love, Sandra
Cheers,
Kristen
