Kris Carr's Crazy Sexy Blog: Goddess Group

  • Corinne · 11 months ago
I just drank my first juice of the day! My hubby's english muffin with peanut butter was enough to drive me crazy this morning, I feel like the aroma still lingers in the kitchen! I am going to write down my word of the day and post it on the wall as a constant reminder. Today's word is TRUST. Trust myself, trust the universe, trust that this moment is exactly as it should be.

WOW!!! Happy Goddess Group Day everyone! I started with spinach, lettuces, celery, carrot, ginger, parsley, green cabbage...basically anything green in the frig! I also make "juice bags" the night before, no excuses in the am that way. I'll follow up today with wheat grass powder packets, kombucha (it's green and raw, so I figure it counts), TONS of lemon H2O, green tea if I get cold! Then a yummy raw salad...mmmmmm!
"DOUBT"??? Ha! You read my mind Kris! My whole life I have let that demon doubt rule my every waking moment. Especially now, with the daily news so bad that I can't stand to read the paper. I will let myself wallow in the pit of doubt no more and blessing beyond belief will flood my life =)
You rock girl...thanks for your everlasting, unbelievable support XOXOX
    Becky

UPDATE: 7pm.....ok, ok, ok I ate carob, then chocolate and alas.....1/2 sweet potato!!! BUT - I was RAW til 4pm ;-)

What are the ice cubes? I have been wodering about freezing my juice and wheat grass and it looks like you figured it out there!
Thanks as always for sharing :)
  • Kris Carr · 11 months ago
Ah ha! I shared this in the last blog too. The "ice cubes" are frozen E3Live cubes. Since the E3 Live only lasts 10 days when thawed. I defrost, pour into cube tray and then pop one or two in my smoothies!
  • Pam · 11 months ago
I don't understand about the E3 Live "cubes". Doesn't the E3 come in the bottle that is sitting by your cube tray? Do you mix it up, freeze it and then drop the frozen cube into your smoothie? Sorry to be dumb. Pam
  • Kris Carr · 11 months ago
E3 Live comes frozen in a bottle. I defrost, pour into ice cube trays and then use one or 2 per day. I either put them in smoothies or let a cube thaw out and then drink it down like a shot. This is what works for me. I waste a lot of E 3 live if I don't do it like this. Hope that makes sense. Read the last blog.
  • Pam · 11 months ago
OK. I assume that E3 is enzymes. So, I'm wondering, if it's not good to use wheat grass that has been frozen, why is it OK to use E3 that has been frozen twice? I also thought that enzymes were to be taken with food, so that means you should use 3 per day. I'd love to know more about E3. Thanks! Pam

Re: ice cubes...Whoops, sorry!! I should have remembered from the last post. I blame my lupus fog. Or the fibro fog. I am just all kinds of foggy. But thank you for responding :)

I do the plastic bag trick too. I go so far as to peel my cucumber. Do you think that changes how "fresh" it is? I so much prefer the summer when I can harvest it all the day I consume it! I can't get enough pictures of Lola. Boy, do I dig that hound!

    Hi Kris, everyone.

Weary crazy sexy newbie here! Hee. Thanks so much for the inspiration. I just juiced what I had left in the fridge today - broccoli stems, spinach, granny smith, lemon.

Kris, your word du jour *really* resonated with me. It's comforting on some to level to know that I'm not alone. Of course, I send positive vibes to everyone to release those doubts....

    Peace & gratitude, shar

Hi there, I didn't quite make it yesterday, but my juicer has been working overtime since this morning :-). I really wish I could let go of doubt. It would make my life a lot more peaceful, and I've had more faith in the future turning out well for me (instead of the disaster scenarios that keep playing in my mind). Fear is my worst demon.

Hi Kris - thanks for your informative and inspiring blog! I'm wondering what braggs is - I've looked up braggs at the health food store and on line and I see this company that sells olive oil, cider vinegar etc. Also what is cell food (oxygen)?
    thank you!
  • debbiedoesraw · 11 months ago
Braggs aminos is a natural form of soy sauce basically, but it is made of wheat and is super salty. use with caution and sparingly!
Cell food is a mineral supplement I think

    Hey Kris,

I am a very active and busy person so health is very important to me. Lately I have been wanted to clean up my diet to promote lasting health. During this quest you came to mind (I remember seeing you on Operah)! I started reading a few of your recommended books….which I can’t seem to access on your site anymore (construction???). Anyway, I am proud to say that my new juicer will be arriving in the mail on Monday! I even have my boyfriend on board after reading the benefits of green juice found on Google. I too am working on my Google degree…hehehe. Can you suggest a good tasking green juice for us beginners?

    You are real inspiration Kris!

Oh, I forgot to mention. I work as a researcher in a Hospital in Canada. While my research is not nutrition related, I have real passion for healthy food. It amazes me that the hospital food is so unhealthy. How are patients the supposed to get better when eating what they serve? And what about us staff? They should be promoting health? One of my many life long goals is to change Hospital and School food. I truly hope that someone beats to punch on this one because it will be extremely difficult to change the ways! Have you thought about this issue?

    Hi Kris,
Yes I want to commit to a super healthy day. I have been taking this rigorous yoga class wednesday mornings and I feel that I need a little more substenance. So I will have my oatmeal in the morning and try smotthies, juices and soups for the rest of the day.
This is really hard for me (especially because i have a old temperemental juicer) so the support from this group is great.
One baby step at a time.
    Thank you for the inspiration
    Love,
    Laetitia
