Kris Carr's Crazy Sexy Blog: Feeling fantastic!

  • Cuca · 1 year ago
I never know what to comment on your amazing blog posts. I find them incredibly inspiring, interesting and touching. I think–I have to be honest–it's because I feel out of place. The reason why I can't comment something that might sound remotely interesting to you and other people who come here and read is because I don't have the "disease" connection. Oh my, I hope this is not coming out rude or weird, it's not my intention at all. I feel guilty sometimes because I'm reading all of this and literally being a witness and compared to a lot of you, I don't have anything to worry about. I don't have to go through what you're going through. I know you don't discriminate and everyone can read this blog but... I don't know, I feel like I have so much to say and I can't manage to type it. I hope you understand what I mean. At least a little.
I wish you the best of lucks with everything.

    Take care,

    xoxo

    Hi Cuca!
I felt similar when I started reading this blog, but then I realized that Crazy Sexy is about WELLNESS for ALL. We all have challenges of the mind, body and spirit and it doesn't matter what category your obstacles or triumphs fall under. Remember, as Kris always reminds us: Prevention is HOT!

Cuca, bearing witness is a powerful contribution. It is that presence of being seen, of being heard, of being present for another, and that is a deep longing that I think most every human being needs & wants. And I think it is even more welcome when one is sharing from the depths of who they are, whether that is perceived as "positive" or "negative". I feel that being present for another & witnessing their journey, their expression is a great gift & is part of what makes connection in the world, even if no words are spoken, and sometimes, that presence without words, without judgement is the most powerful contribution of all. Thanks for sharing your thoughts...just my 2 cents...even though I'm not Kris.

Lucky you Kris, being able to shadow 2 awesome teachers! For a time period of many months, I saw my own live blood & it IS quite amazing to see it, but it must be even more amazing to see the variances amongst other's blood & get a sense how it correlates to the person. Hope you're past the initial yuckies of getting back into the "flow".

Ha.. you sound refreshed and replenished and raring to go.......I got tickled when you said the big cheese.. since clearly you can have no cheese.. haha I suppose he is the mega mushroom .. no toxic the mighty green sprout.. Anyway enjoy your time. I am so impressed. I had planned to go to hippocrates last feb. but so much on that manifesting board of mine happened that this dream had to be bonked back a bit. But one day... I did do the wheat grass implants when my lung cancer and lymph cancer flared and it was a miracle detox and major crime fighter for me. It needs a super hero with some line "grass we clean your ass........... and it does.......and well. haha.. loving the blog. Hope that it is a fabulous day for you. Hugs callie

lol the mega mushroom! how about the supreme sprout? so, speaking of sprouts, i have been wondering about all of the warnings that i hear about sprouts and e. coli. any thoughts on the real danger? i gave them up quite a few years ago , but probably could use the protein. between the new fears about soy and no sprouts, i struggle to eat enough beans and nuts to get my daily protein.

5 days, kris! you broke the barrier! keep it up. you inspire us all.

ok I might have totally missed this, but do you just do juice when you are at HHI?

Baby Doll! I ran into my dear friend T.K. (aka Dr. Tim Kelly) who swears by Vilalzym enzymes...they are the systemic ones. He says they are miracle workers and I trust/love him. I starting them yesterday so we'll see if there's that miracle on Tuesday when I get the PET/MR. Also, he said to chew your juice!! You probably know this already since it starts the enzymes going in the mouth then down to the tummy. I am taking you to see him when you come to ATL and can also get the name of a chiro who uses them in NYC if yours doesn't! Glad you feel mo betta! Hugs and Lovins! Mary

Kris (or "Boss" remember from Omega?!)

So glad you are doing well.... I gotta laugh and thank you for mentioning the unmentionable (are there any left?!) GAS!!! Man if I even try to eat sprouts-even sprouted bread the gas and heartburn is unreal!!! So I've moved away from them...even juicing can be tough for me digestively at times...tell me about the digestive enzymes-any particular ones you like?

I think of you and our July 4th life celebration so often. xoxo janet

I learn so much and hope to pass it on to others. I love following Kris' blog because she cracks me up and inspires me :) She's a total rock star.

    Wonderful Kris,
You are such a beautiful warrior! Simply unstoppable.

Can you tell me more about digestive enzymes?

My mother just had brain surgery last night to remove a tumor....which came either from her breast cancer or the tumor in her lung. Unbearable.

I will be her personal chef when she returns home. I just purchased a juicer and am prepared to do whatever it takes for her to get clean and healthy. But am still learning about all this.

Any advice would be amazingly helpful.

    Hey Folks,
I haven't commented in a while, but that means have I in NO WAY forgotten. I read the blog everyday, just super-duper busy. However, tonight I said busy no more, I wanted to say hi as miss my peeps!

Kris, your hipprocates experience is very inspiring, I feel love through the blog. Since Kriaplu I have ventured into colonics (was too nervous to try them before that weekend.) The cleanse has been great for me. Thank you! I have been off wheatgrass because I started gagging and throwing-up from it, any tip to over come that. Love to all!

Kris - thanks for yet another great post! I follow your blog for many reasons but one is Prevention! I don't want to face any health issues i could possibly prevent so i'm doing my best!

I wondered if you were going to do an updated post sometime soon about supplements. I know in 2007 you did one... which was great (i followed some of your supplement suggestions!)! You mentioned you were chatting with a great company about probiotics - did you have a new recommendation? also, what is your recommendation for a B-12 supplement? THANKS Kris! You ROCK:)

You are such a blessing love...love to you, Bri and Lola!

All I can say is WOW! Every night I go to bed thinking tomorrow I will start making healthy choices then I wake up the day gets crazy and its all down hill! Today though looking at my two children (2 and 18 months) I know I need to get it together! My 18 month old is always sick and I am sure it has a lot to do with our eating habits. I was searching the web for ideas on how to get our life in cheack and I came across your blog. I want to get healthy and I want my kids to grow up knowing how to eat healthy. If you have any advice on how to get started Please let me know.
    Thanks!

Hi Kayla, we have done some small changes in our eating habits over the past 4 years, one at the time. Our two children (now 4 and 7) have gotten used to it step by step. If you start now it is perfect as your children are so young, and it is easier to get them in to good habits! First of all we took away milk with chocolate in the morning and introduced freshly squeezed orange juice, a fruit or nuts and plain yogurt that we add honey to. Change number one: my daughter stopped getting bronquitis that she was suffering from a lot. Then I started bringin fruit for snack ones a week instead of bread or muffins. After a couple of month I changed to only bringing fruit, apple, banana, clementines, grapes, strawberries, - sometimes I get a "fruit again" and I just tell them it is the best snack and that their body loves it. Their friends continue eating their cookies and their parents are amazed how well our kids eat their fruit. One family have started copying us as they realized it is so much healthier :) Change number two: They have much more energy in the afternoon and get much less refined sugar intake (apart from all other nasty ingrediens in the junk snack) Then we started having the only veggie they eat raw at each meal: CARROT STICKS. We put them on the table before lunch and dinner and they start snacking on that. If we do not have carrots I put apple. My daughter that is 7 is eating some sallad and tomatoes as well but my son who is 4 will not open his mouth for anything else than carrots so I figure it was better they eat carrots every day than nothing. Then we eat clean protein (fish, egg and some rare times meat - I do not eat it but my husband loves it...) and we try to avoid to base the meal on pasta etc. We eat a lot of steamed veggies that I make a pure of - so they do not see what's in it - then after each meal I tell them what they have been eating! We use Himalayan Salt to give it a good taste.
On fridays we do homemade pizza on whole wheat dough. We drink only WATER (or herbal teas) to all meals but on friday they get juice if they want. They do not drink any sodas! Trying to avoid the sweets as much as possible we rarely have deserts. We give them one lollipop on Saturday and maybe some dark 70% chocolate. They love it and think it is great. When they go to a Kids party they can have what ever everyone else is having - and they can eat all candy they want - but as they do not usually eat a lot they eat only a few and then they have had enough. Now we have bought a great juicer that we use frequently and have them drinking spinach and cucumber etc etc mixed with apple and pear that covers the taste of the veggies . They get their juice in a non-transparent cup with a lid and a straw so they do not see the color of the juice - as it tastes great they drink it and asks for more. Over this past year they have not been sick ones (except for this Xmas when we all caught a nasty flu :( - but we juiced and ate veggies and fruit and got well pretty soon. The less sugar you eat the less you need and the more energy you get and the easier it is to eat healthier. It is like a spiral. Now, me and my husband, are going to do a 30 days raw food period! I have been eating lots of raw over the past 2 years and now he said he is interested in joining me!!! I am so excited. Good luck with changing your habits - your kids will thank you for that in the future!!!!

What kind of juicer do you use?
