    Dearest Kris-

I'm so excited about the new Crazy Sexy greatness that is coming soon!
The online store and new website sound really wonderful, and I can't wait to see them!

I just wanted to thank you for looking out for all of us here at CSL. You continue to be such an inspiration to me, a friend (in spirit), and just a remarkably kind and beautiful soul.

I can't think of anything really specific that I want from the site/store...truthfully, I just need a complete body, mind, spirit renovation overall! I know all the new goodies that you are finding, testing, and creating will continue to guide me towards the girl I want to be!

    Thank you for everything, Kris!!
Sending you ALL my love and .:*PiXie DuSt*:. always, always,
    Kendra Jacklyn

First off, LOVE the chair metaphor.

I'm so glad you asked. I love CSL and I am the first to say that I think it saved my life. Truly. I like this idea you've got going, too. Here's what I need, and I think I see a lot of people asking about this same thing on the forum.

When you are new, there is a lot (too much) to digest. Suddenly, you have canser. OMG! What do I do now? The problem is that us newbies try to do everything. At once. But that's no bueno!

We need a raodmap. I know, I know, everybody is different with different needs etc. However. we still need a basic roadmap that answers the question:

How does all of this fit together into a lifestyle that I can adapt that is healthy for me, animlas, and the earth?

Put these puzzle pieces together for us; juicing, acidity vs alkalinity, sugar, processed foods, supplements, colon cleansing, enemas, yoga, probiotics, meditation, positive affirmations, on and on. How? When? What order? HELP!

We are awakening but HOW do we go about safely transitioning? Kris, it is overwhelming. Give us modules. Nutrition modules. Supplement modules. Cleansing modules. Dealing with modern medicine modules. Whatever modules, they are endless. Then, let the newbie start with whichever module is right for them, and move to whatever module next is right for them. This is safe, orderly, and thoughtful.

The module should contain the details: What to juice. How to juice. What juicer to get. How often to juice. Benefits of juicing. Different recipes to juice. Endless. Whatever you got to help us get on our own path using the tools you offer.

I once asked on the forum what is the difference between probiotics and macrobiotics. I was ridiculed for asking. I understand that there are advanced people there and to them that is a dumb question. But I know the forum was formed in the spirit of educating everybody towards a better quality of life. The newbies need help, you know?

Another thing that I am thinking is that if you/your org endorses something, I will definitely look at using it. But I will also what the information about it, and if possible the thinking behind why it is reccommended. We're information junkies yanno.

I LOVE that you asked. Thanks so much for all you do. I am praying for increased abundance for you so that you can continue to do this good work.

    Love, Jen B.

You lovies! Thank you soooo much. Sometimes I feel like I'm working in a vacuum and then I remember: JUST ASK THEM! Keep the ideas coming, even if you remember something in the middle of the night get yur butt back here and tell moi. I'm on it. And thanks for praying for the prosperity of all things Crazy Sexy. The more we get, the more you get. xo Ms. K

    Wish list:

Deodorant that is healthy for body and earth, but doesn't leave pitts sticky.

Tootpaste that is healthy for body and earth, but actually tastes good.

A yummy, healthy lip balm..maybe tinted.

    Thanks Kris! You rock!
  • sandrajoseph · 1 year ago
    Divine Ms. K,

Which part of the chair includes shoes? (I'm kidding!)
I loved that post you did on supplements a while back. We take your recommendations VERY seriously around here. I've been taking Women's One Daily by Daily Foods ever since that post. You may have moved on to a bigger, better multi since then, so I would hope to be able to buy the latest crazy sexy supplements in your groovy shop. I trust that you have done all the research that I'm too lazy to do, so that's why I want to find out what Miss Kris is putting in the pod. This could be like your very own O List! I'm so excited to learn about your favorite health-giving items! Maybe do a Miss Kris Pick of the month and tell us why you love something.
I agree that we need body moisturizer besides coconut oil for winter reptile skin, and in the summer we will need sunscreen. Let's think seasonal products...I know I'll be needing chapped lip stuff soon. I usually use Dr. Hauschka... but does it meet K.C. standards? If there's something in your shop, I will buy that from now on.
As for food, I am obsessed with kelp noodles right now and I cannot find them anywhere. I have ordered them online before but if you sold them, I would definitely order from you.
And, I'm just throwing this out there..I know it may not be possible but many sites are offering free shipping these days. I'm a huge fan of a free shipping offer! I add my voice to the prayers for crazy sexy abundance. I promise to be a frequent shopper! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • scnewme · 1 year ago
My Jersey Girl!! You posts always bring a smile :) LOVE your idea on "Miss Kris Pick of the Month" that is just fabulous!! And I will second the free shipping offer, I mean seriously, who wouldn't, LOL. You need to stop by the forum more....we miss you!

A few more things on my ever growing list....I'm hoping for a line of CSL products - t-shirts, sweatshirts, carry-all bags, etc.

Thank you for upholding your standards. Posting the review standards on the site would be good as well as a date as to when the product was last reviewed. Since we hope things improve over time it is helpful to know if something is still the best or the new and improved is a better choice. A comment section like on Amazon is also very helpful. Thanks for asking.

I would like the name of a natural deoderant THAT WORKS! I have spent hundreds of dollars on deoderants that DON'T WORK. I also want a skin care line that is natural, that won't break the bank, and won't leave me with a pizza face full of zits. If I can't eat pizza - I don't want it on my face either! I would like a decent shampoo that is also natural- but doesn't leave my hair greasy or dry. I would also like a natural mascara that STAYS ON my lashes. I hate racoon eyes!
  • mary brittain · 1 year ago
Hey, FYI...I found a deo that works pretty well for me. It's by Naturally Fresh and it's the deodorant crystal...go figure...but it works. It has aloe vera also. I got it at Whole Foods...good luck. xxoo

Besides all the equipment for my raw kitchen, top on my list would be a spiral bound journal that is lined.
  • debbiedoesraw · 1 year ago
Oh man, don't get me started!
    1. Really truly raw organic almonds that are not a bazillion dollars per lb
    2. Hemp seeds: see above, I am ordering mine online, costs $ taste great!
    3. Cute organic t shirts that are priced under 12.00 ( a tall order I know)
    4. CSL logo items like shopping totes, t shirts, boxers (for bed people!), tanks
    5. fun stuff for gifts that fit into the csl lifestyle niche.
    6. Cheap shipping options!!!!!!!!!

Love you girlie, heres to one whole raw year down, 51 more to go! woooo hooooo!

    Hi Kris,
I was at your New York book reading (in the back corner, big pontytail, eyes lit up when you talked about cheese but was then paradoxically glad you talked about colonics, hmmmm). I don't have cancer, but so many of my loved ones have had it that it is my constant companion and so I read your books and your blog and feel nourished by your work. I'm looking forward to your store because when I shop I sometimes get stymied by the difficulty of making choices that are good for me and the great mama. For example, If I buy supplements but they come in a plastic container that can't be recycled, then I'm nourishing my own health and hurting the earth. I'm going to be looking to your store for products and services that strike an ethical balance-- that are good for me and Her. I think we are all in need of better choices. And, I wish for reading lists or book recommendations so I can be as awake as possible. Thank you for all you do!
  • Teresa · 1 year ago
Thank you, Kris, for starting a store. I am looking forward to it. I love your chair metaphor and I think of it(and practice it) nearly every day.
    Peace, Teresa
  • Maureen · 1 year ago
Sounds great but since money doesnt grow on trees, will there be a possibility of affordability in the products sold?
  • Linda · 1 year ago
Great idea I will sit in my chair and wait.
Meditation CD's, some of them I have gotten are too distracting, LOL. Yoga dvd's and props? Books, Books and more books. Kris, you have a jimongus resource of books. Special affordable food treats. Journals for tracking treatments and journals for raw living. Just a few things I am thinking of. Ohh, NON PLASTIC food containers for portablility. Good Luck
  • Becky B. · 1 year ago
Kris, you are always thinking of us!! I would love reasonably priced goodies of all sorts....books, supplements, skin care, body care, snacks, nuts, you name it! Can't we just have our own little online WF?? (But with better prices and no yummy bakery smells to contend with! Honestly, their gormet goodies are not exactly "healthy"!)
Anything you have will be worth getting!
    Thanks for asking

    Hey...
I would like a 'raw starter kit' to send to someone who expresses an interest in making some changes. There could be the 'large basket' or 'small token basket' etc. Kinda like christmas baskets at Harrods -- One stop shopping, just pick the price range, cancer no cancer, etc. Include a free enema bag for you and one to give to a friend (oh that was too far huh?).

On the spiritual 'leg' of the store, how about some books, cds, and companion journals? Let's make a kit to 'make your own brainpower board' to focus energy and prayer. Also some readings CDs for meditation. People with awesome voices reading great works to absorb while driving, meditating, whatever.

I would like to suggest a 'fifth leg' of pure FUN. How about a section 'just because it's fun'? Some items that we think are functional and FUN! Silliness is healthy too right? Who doesn't need fun? These items could make good 'gifts' to send to other in the midst of the journey/battle/whatever.

If you want more, let me know, I have more ideas...
    Peace chica,
    Rhonda

Hi Kris, What a great idea!!!!! I would love to see a section on Aromatherapy. A section of the best organic essential oils, aromatherapy diffusers, and books for beginners to more advanced. Namaste Linda

I like Rhonda's idea for a fifth leg that is pure FUN. If you decide to do it, I have a suggestion for your first item. Lube. There, I said it.

A CSL store is a great idea. I've recently finished reading Pollan's "In Defense of Food" and "The hundred-year lie : how food and medicine are destroying your health" by Randall Fitzgerald. The latter describes a very modest morning routine involving just 9 personal care products, which for an average american would include over 120 different chemicals. Jeepers alive, does there have to be chemicals in everything we consume?

We need resources to shine a light on some products that are free of chemicals. I'm looking sideways at my saran wrap and ziploc bags now, wondering what lurks within, and even more pertinent, what would I use instead?
  • pamf · 1 year ago
Greetings from Scotland! Will your store be international? I know this won't be appropriate for some products, but for things like books it would be good. I am vegan, but new to raw foods, so I've been looking for good guides on where to start. I'd especially value your recommendations in your shop. Yoga books would be great too. There's the issue of region compatibility when it comes to DVDs, so don't know if you'd want to deal with that.

Good luck! You're truly an inspiration and I'm enjoying learning about your progress from afar.

    Pam xx

Kris, This is like writing a Dear Santa letter!! Here is my list, I've been a good girl this year! I would like, Truffles! Gogi Cherry, Dark Cacao, coconut, etc. A few blogs ago you posted pictures of some and I can't find them anywhere. Raw almonds, and almond butter. And really good Green Tea, I can't find a brand that I really like. And nut milk bags, where the heck do you find those? I can't find them anywhere! Organic skin care products. Supplements and enzymes and wheat grass powder for those who haven't gotten around to growing our own. And I would also love a Eat Your Veggis T-shirt!

    Kris,
The store sounds like a great idea.
We need you to be the leader in this complementary health journey.
I don't know why anyone would object to paying to use this website to support it or as you said, have the sales proceeds support it.
The main thing is that we get good credible information.
I learned something yesterday that in some cases, Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez advocates eating red meat, which is acidic.
You are going to need helpful honest, caring people to make this website the place to go to for lttle C patients. You can do it, but you need great people around you and money. Please do it Kris...let this be your purpose in life (along with doing the other things that you love!!!).
    Much love,
    Jake

    Hey Kris and Crew!

What do I want? I'm a single mommie of a kiddo with Autism so I think in terms of what I NEED. When I read both the books (esp at first Crazy Sexy Tips) I wanted to know where I could find ALL THE books you reccommended. I'm all about self education and empowerment. I'm already a raw foodist, but having easy access is great.

What you are doing will revolutionize the world. As a young womyn with canSer, my time is limited...money scarce. Putting it all in one place...easily accessible and maybe adding rhinestones to the labels when you ship (hint hint ;-) will change the way we live. ONE set of shipping fees etc....make it happen ladies!

Supplements is a big issue...what's good? What's NOT synthetic and full of shitballs of chemicals??? Combining THOSE in one place would be great!

Spirit- Workbooks, inspirational journals (Kris you should do one of these). Maybe we could have a group on the boards for people to contribute very short quotes/sayings and make them into a journal with REAL photos of REAL Crazy Sexy Cancer Cowgirl SURVIVORS.

Body- rebounders....small section of beauty products...

So, my advice...is if you are starting in tiers...when diagnosed...or when health searchers find CSL, we are really looking for the HEALTH side of things...books/supplements/supplies for living...

    I'm lovin this
  • Stephanie · 1 year ago
    Hi Kris,

If there is a place for giving reviews of products, I suggest making the submission "form" more specific. Us CSLers love to comment and give opinions, but I want constructive reviews. I get excited knowing that someone thinks a product is "the best in the world" and "changed their life"...but I want to know WHY...WHY should I buy it? Do I share the same diet or skin complexion, etc. with the person? Health and spirit are as personal as one can get and knowing the details of someone elses experience can make all the difference when making a new purchase.

    Love and veggies,
    Steph

    Hi Kris!
I can't wait for your store - what a great idea! And thank you for asking for input - how awesome are you?!
I recently discovered dark chocolate covered goji berries - yum! Gogi berries are a powerhouse of antioxidants and I can't think of a better way to "enjoy" them than along with some delish dark chocolate. Chocolate seems to be the one sugary treat I have the most difficult time eliminating from my diet so what I would LOVE are some healthier alternatives for when that sweet tooth strikes.
Also, some awesomely cool long and short sleeve tees with some of your clever quick wit quotes on them :-).
Thanks and have a beautiful and blessed day!

And also, I recently was lucky enough to see you in Boston at the Natural Health Expo. You are such an inspiration to anyone and everyone on all paths of life. I know this may happen later down the road, but I'd LOVE to see some organic clothing and bedding. Currently, I run into difficulty finding cute, organic stuff. What great ideas! Many of which are on my list already. Researching these products has been really eye opening for me. I thought I knew so much but wow have I learned more. Endless hours on the phone with different Enzyme companies, learning why we need D3 and what the best source is for veggie heads, finding a good b12 and probiotic (not an easy task). We're almost there gang.

Food...I want it too, snacks etc but I consider that a tier 2 for our store. First and foremost I want to offer you the essentials. Fun will come but we gotta be on the right track first (plus I have about 50 products I'm considering for the launch and this girl just can't afford more yet). Sandra, you crack me up, believe it or not I found a health vegan lube this weekend!

CSL bracelet and t's = done. We have 2 really cute designs to start with.

We have 2 juicers (one that is uber affordable), a fantastic yoga mat (i had no idea how many there were out there but the one we chose is 100 percent real rubber and each mat plants a tree.

Our grocery bag is made from recycled bottles, and yes, we have found a healthy drinking bottle and are customizing it with our make juice not war logo. :)

Body lotion = done. I LOVE what we chose. Same with our face care. We have 2 price points on that. One is kinda expensive the other more affordable.

The deoderant, still testing...I'm still smelly I should say. Tempted to carry the Kiss My Face rock version that I love. Can't find a better one! You can buy it from us or just save the postage and go to the health food store.

So, we'll get ya started and then when we can afford it we will start stocking things like raw chocolate truffles, my fave salad dressings, oil cured olives, hemp seeds, etc...

Free shipping, well we'll at least be able to offer a good shipping price. If you don't pay it then I have to. Sorry guys, I ain't made of money. But it's on my vision board so when we do well so will our free shipping.

Once again, we really don't want to offer more than is absolutely necessary (with a bit of some fun too). Basically, the idea came from my own need. I have next to no time, a short attention span and I just want to go to one trusted place to get my foundationals. Don't ask me to choose from 10 vitamin c's, I don't know, you figure it out and then prove why etc. Also, you wouldn't believe how many emails we get asking "where do I get this, that, what does Kris use, etc"

I will be writing all the product descriptions based on my experience with the particular item. And to answer a few of your questions we will absolutely include data etc. No cut and paste from the manufacturer at our site. We choose products based on months of personal testing, talks with the manu's and advise from our trusted nutrition/medical consultants. I literally spent 2 hours on the phone with an amazing pharmacist in AZ yesterday. Wow did I learn a lot about the vitamin industry. It's kinda overwhelming, but really interesting. Thanks to her I chopped two products off the list and was redirected to some better brands.

Our Omega 3 was a gift to me from Dr. Mehmet Oz so if it's good for him it's definitely good for Kris. :)

Ok, keep em coming and THANK YOU!

    LOVE
    Kris

    Hi Kris,

This is not related exactly to the store, but I was wondering: what on earth would you bring (food-wise) camping? Maybe it's the cooling weather that has me dreaming of the outdoors, but I'm trying to figure out how to get my veggie juices when I've been out in the desert for three days.

(This might be a better topic for the spring, eh?)

I am thrilled about your store! I would rather align my budget with high quality products and less of them than buying untrusted products and throwing them away because they are worthless, harmful or untested. And I would rather the little bit of profit to go to you and this community which brings light, love and healing.

What a great idea! You are probably overwhelmed with responses, but I'm going to jump on the supplements band wagon. I have been a health food person for decades (even worked in the vitamin section of a coop) but I get so confused by what I hear. Is a food based mutli best? Do we all need D3? In what quantities? Why is everything mega dosed? I love Dr Oz and Andrew Weil but when their info doesn't match I don't know who to trust. What do you think about Cod liver oil?

Ok, enough of that. I would love to see nontoxic face care and make up, especially any mascara suggestions that don't end up making raccoon eyes.

Looking forward to anything with your logo.

    Thanks!!!
  • Kris Carr · 1 year ago
Julie: I hear ya with the confusion. So far this is what I have learned. Teere are 3 kinds of vitamins. Whole Foods, food based and synthetic. And there is LOTS of controversy regarding all three. Recently, I spoke with a few co-branding companies and each contradicted the other. I pretended to be a potential customer who wanted to create my own line. he he he. After speaking with them i would NEVER want to brand my own line. I promise to get to the bottom of this before our launch. In fact, Brian and I want to do an entire episode (oops, did I just leak something?) on the vitamin industry.

D3. Well, what I am learning is a big YES. We all need it, I wouldn't put it in the store if we didn't - that's why it's what I call a foundational. As for Oz & Weil. Well, I shouldn't go there but let's just say I would back what Oz says hands down. I know him personally and I do believe he is a genius.

Body lotion and face care we found and LOVE what we have chosen. Make up will be a tier 2 addition once we're jamming. I still haven't found a mascara. Any advise gang?

Hi Kris, how can I get any more excited? I can feel My Cells Jumping with Joy!
The most natural mascara I have found is Dr Hauschka (& it comes in several colours), but Really Hard to find, at least in Oz,
Keep up the good work, Have Fun, Love Jules

Wohoo! Episodes, eh?! Fabulous! I can't wait to hear more. Do you need help from your online friends? Seriously, if there is anything I (really, I'm sure I could speak for all of us here and say we) can do let us know. I'm a librarian, very good at finding sources, organizing, whatevah...just say the word :)

Good luck with all of your new projects and thank you for the joy and hope you bring to my life!!

Kris, just wanted to comment on D3. I live in the soggy, Pacific NW, where rates of multiple sclerosis are high (rumored to be linked to lack of D). Ditto that I have read that colon cancer rates are higher north of the equator. A study was published recently in which colon cancer patients that had higher levels of D survived longer. My oncologist has tested my D levels, and the goal is to get the blood level to 80ng. I take a D3 product that a friend in Seattle gets me at a cancer center there, called Bio-D-Mulsion Forte, made by Biotics Research Corporation. It is a liquid, and one tiny drop = 2,000 IU. I have been taking about 6-10,000 IUs daily to elevate my ng blood levels, and I tell you, the first winter I did this, the winter blues disappeared!

Wow! Just watched your DVD Crazy Sexy Cancer, on a recommendation from a friend. Although, I do not have Cancer, I have lost a few very close family friends these last few years.

Thank you for your endless work and gift you have given to all of us from your experience. I look forward to your new site and store for sure.

i want to see what you come up with and then i'll have some ideas.. but i think i want my life to simplify so i agree w/ you abt having one of each thing that you need. i would also like it to be affordable. i can justify some things (like a good green powder or coconut oil, a good juicer, etc) that are worth the money. i trust you kris. and that is a big deal for people.. to have someone they can trust to tell them the truth.. to offer them the best at the best price. i'm really looking forward to your store.. yipee!
i also want to thank you for your blog. it is so informative, i just love it (and you).

Woo hoo! A store - that is so exciting! I'm sure you already know of the stuff since you're so rockin, but BE FINE food skin care is the BEST! http://www.befine.com/ I cannot believe I lived without their sugar/almond scrub and minty face wash. Check it out if you haven't already. :) Also, meditation CDs and books, books, and more books!
Since this is my first time commenting I'd also like to say what a joy it is to read your blog and what a god send your books have been. Thank you for everything you do, you are truly making a difference.

Go Obama! (and YES on 2 and NO on 8 while we're at it!)

Hi there, I haven't used any make up in months afraid of what to put on my skin.Every time I try to buy something they say it's not bad for you it costs so much money and all I got is a whole bunch of maxed out credit cards from organic whole foods and herbal medicines that did not even help me.So how about some simple make up that wont kill me faster and make me more broke.
    Thanks. suely

    Hi Kris

I need help. I need a basic cookbook with simple recipes, including juice recipes.
I need a notebook where I can daily keep track of what I've eaten, what supplements I've taken and what exercise I've done. I need to be able to track what is going into my body and how I'm helping my body and I need to see it in front of me. I just can't seem to put that together on my own. I want to vary my diet and make sure I'm eating enough variety and enough nutrients but I can't do that on my own. Can you help me? For example, I need so much vitamin C a day and an orange provides so much, so I check a box that tells me yes, I got enough vitamin C today.

I also need a calendar that helps me keep track of when i fast, when I do enemas, etc. Just a handbook of some sort.

Hope that helps. Thanks for asking how to help us - I need help!
